This inspection is available only to renters before moving into the building. One of the biggest worries as a renter is when you move out. Because that is the time you start wondering if you will get your (damage) deposit back and the landlord wants to ensure there is little damage beyond normal wear and tear. The easiest way to prevent that worry is to have the apartment or home inspected prior to moving in. The inspection is just like any normal inspection you would do when you are buying a house. It is designed to document any problems that may exist, whether they are cosmetic or operational, so that when the lease is up, you have documented (photographic and narrative) evidence of the condition when you moved in. This is an inspection even your landlord will appreciate. And when you move out and get your (damage) deposit back, you will be glad you called.
